I’m Becky, a qualified Hypnotherapist who uses Psychotherapeutic techniques based in Burscough, and I work with adults both in person and online. I hold a Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy from the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (NCHP) and I’m registered with CNHC and NSTT. But more importantly, I’m someone who knows how powerful and life-changing therapy can be — because I’ve been on that journey myself.
My decision to train in this field came from my own experience as a client. Therapy helped me see things differently, change how I related to myself and the world, and let go of old beliefs that were holding me back. That experience shaped everything about how I work today. I know how much courage it takes to start therapy, and I do everything I can to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and completely free of judgement.
I use a person-centred approach, meaning sessions are tailor-made to your needs. Sometimes that involves talking things through; sometimes it might include gentle hypnotherapy. There’s no right or wrong way — just what feels right for you. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you reconnect with your strengths, shift what no longer serves you, and move forward with more clarity, freedom, and self-trust.
We all hold stories, memories, and emotions that shape how we see ourselves — and the world around us. Sometimes those thoughts become tangled, unspoken, or too painful to face on our own. But talking can change that. Being heard — really heard — in a safe, compassionate space can begin to untangle the knots, ease the weight, and offer a new perspective.
Therapy isn’t about being “fixed.” It’s about coming home to yourself — understanding your past, making sense of your present, and choosing how you move forward. You don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to walk beside you, at your pace, offering support, insight, and care as you find your way.
Whether you’re feeling unsure or know exactly what you want from therapy, you’re welcome to get in touch. I offer a free 15-minute phone or Zoom chat so you can ask any questions and see if we’re a good fit — no pressure, no obligation.
You can contact me by phone, email, or using the contact form. I’ll always aim to reply within 36 hours (excluding holidays). However you reach out, I’ll be here when you’re ready.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s brought you to therapy, explore what you’d like to get out of it, and I’ll answer any questions you might have. There’s no pressure — it’s all at your pace.
Not at all. Hypnotherapy is just one of the tools I can use if it’s appropriate for you — and only if you’re comfortable with it. Some clients find it helpful, others prefer talking therapy. We’ll always work in a way that feels right for you.
There’s no set number — everyone is different. Some people come for a few sessions, others for longer-term support. We’ll regularly check in on your progress and decide together what feels most helpful and sustainable for you.
Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental part of therapy. Everything we talk about stays between us, except in rare circumstances where I’m legally or ethically required to act (for example, if there’s a serious risk of harm). I’ll explain this fully when we begin.
